Cairns Festival 2026 Volunteer Call Out

Join the Team Behind Cairns Festival 2026!

Cairns is turning 150 years young in 2026, and we're inviting passionate, community-minded volunteers to help bring one of the city's biggest celebrations to life.

Running from Friday 28 August to Sunday 6 September 2026, Cairns Festival is Far North Queensland's premier celebration of arts, culture and community. From dazzling light installations and live music performances to family-friendly events and the iconic Grand Parade, the festival transforms the city into a vibrant showcase of creativity and connection.

Behind every unforgettable festival experience is an incredible team of volunteers. Whether you're looking to gain event experience, meet new people, support your community or simply be part of the excitement, volunteering with Cairns Festival is a rewarding way to get involved.

Delivering a 10-day festival is a huge undertaking, and our volunteers play a vital role in helping make it all happen. We simply couldn't do it without them.
